Traditionally Christmas puddings were made on “stir up Sunday”, which always falls on the last Sunday before Advent.

In the past, it was tradition for every member of the household to take a turn and stir the pudding mixture whilst making a wish. Making the pudding was hard work and this method got everyone involved.
